Summer Makeup Bag Essentials

I don't usually carry a makeup bag around with me, mainly because I can never be bothered to touch-up. However, in summer there are a few beauty essentials I don't like to be without.

This concealer is my all time favourite as it so high coverage and works well with a light coverage foundation or BB cream. During the hotter months makeup doesn't last as long on my skin and I like to always have this to hand if any pesky spots or dark circles are beginning to show through.

I have only just bought this and am seriously obsessed! It is so much better than the pencil I was using and I can't believe what a difference it makes. Anyway, out of all of these products this is probably the most unnecessary to carry around, but if I am already taking a makeup bag it doesn't really add much weight. My eyebrows are very fly-away, and it only takes a couple of hours before they are all over the shop. So if I am touching up the rest of my makeup I like to quickly brush them back into place.

I always like to carry around the lip colour I am wearing that day, just incase it fades oddly or transfers while eating. At the moment my favourite is this mini chubby stick as it is so easy to apply, very moisturising and goes with almost any makeup look.

This is just a really good standard lip balm to have to hand. The best part is it's SPF 15 so helps to protect my lips from the sun, which given the current weather can't be a bad thing.

Honestly, I wish I had waited the extra month for my local Boots to stock the Kabuki Brush as it is much more what I was looking for, but oh well. This is quite a large flat top brush, much like a stippling brush, which does the job of applying powder on the go and the lid makes it much more hygienic.

I get quite shiny in summer and this powder sorts it out immediately. It is fuss-free and doesn't look cakey on the skin, A good summer staple.

It is always useful to carry a hand sanitizer around for apply concealer with fingers on the go and before eating out. This is my personal favourite as it smells slightly fruity instead of the clinical hospital-like smell many other do.
